The Port of Køge is one of Denmark’s oldest ports. It used to be located lie further inland in the past, thus there have been maritime activities in Køge for thousands of years. The current port in Køge is an active and dynamic port, with considerable traffic and further growth is expected in the future.
Over the past few years, approx. DKK 1 billion has been invested to expand the port, adding 2300 extra meters of quay and 700.000 m2 of land. The Port of Køge is now an even stronger working partner for local companies and the large surrounding area, serviced by the port and the many companies based there.
